With Fox selling a bunch of their creative properties to Disney, it looks like the MCU will be getting even more populous as the rights to the X-Men and the Fantastic Four are reverting back to Marvel Studios. The Fantastic Four were Marvel’s first superheroes. They starred in the campy early stories that set the template for all the superhero comics that followed it. As a result, in the MCU – as in the crossover comics – they should be the older, wiser characters from an earlier generation of heroes....

With the deal between Disney and Fox finally starting to go through, we’re closer than ever to seeing the X-Men join the Avengers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Whether the stories will be rebooted or all our favorite characters will be recast or they’ll branch off on their own, separate from the Avengers/Guardians storylines, all remains to be seen. But one thing is pretty clear: within the next couple of years, Marvel will be adapting their own X-Men stories for the big screen....

Universal has released five new clips from this month’s The Mummy reboot. The film, starring Tom Cruise, will relaunch the original Mummy franchise from the ’30s and the later trilogy from the ’90s, bringing the undead monster to a whole new generation of fans.
