Here are our top tips for establishing a brand on social media. Grab you coffee and instagramable note pad and heeeeeeeeeere weeeeeeeeee go!
Be Distinctly You
Subtlety is nice when you’re having afternoon tea with your grandmother, but when it comes to socials, you need to be blunt. Make sure your imagery is fearlessly authentic and true to what you believe and stand for. If you aren’t sure what that is, take the time to think about it and define it as part of your marketing process.
Louder…Sorry…LOUDER!!!
It’s been said that the key to effective copywriting is removing anything that doesn’t need to be there. This doesn’t mean getting rid of stuff for the fun of it but making sure that everything you do say has meaning and relates to who you are and what you’re trying to say.
Schedule Your Posts
Having a plan for posting means your audience knows what to expect. It shows you’re consistent online and this demonstrates a level of trustworthiness. By planning your posts in advance – or at least planning the titles in an editorial calendar, you can be ahead of the game and ensure that your relationships start with a sense of positivity.
Engage
You know how important it is to comment and how important your brand voice is, so combine the two when you’re commenting on other people’s posts. Go beyond emojis and ‘great post’ and start a conversation; it’s been proven to increase engagement and could have a positive impact on sales and conversions.
Know Your Valuable Content
How do you know what content works and what doesn’t? Do you measure your results? Do you have a planned sales funnel? By using data and measuring the results, you can learn what works and what doesn’t. Check out your Google Analytics – how many clicks are you getting from social media? Which platform? There’s so much data available now it would be a shame not to use it. Your brand works when you stick to it, hone the voice and turn up the volume. Use analytics to your advantage and you’ll be pumping along (even more) in no time.
