Although the fictional universes of the Harry Potter book and film series and the hit Netflix show Chilling Adventures of Sabrina are a literal world apart, they clearly have a lot in common with one another. They both explore the fun sides of magic, as well as the dark underbelly of this fantasy world, and their cast of characters range from the kindest and sweetest people you could meet to literal evil incarnate.

But if these two worlds were one, how would the characters interact with one another? Namely, which characters from Harry and Sabrina would make awesome couples, and which would make awful ones?

Awesome: Ron Weasley & Roz Walker

Although they exist in different fictional universes, Ron Weasley and Roz Walker clearly have a lot in common. They’re both actually extraordinarily powerful people, but because they live in the orbit of other characters who are bigger superstars than they are they never really get the credit that they’re due.

Both Ron and Roz deserve their moment to shine, but if the world refuses to give them that they could at least recognize the shine in each other. Plus, Ron and Roz? It even sounds great.

Awful: Zelda Spellman & Lucius Malfoy

On the surface it’s hard to imagine any Sabrina/Harry crossover couple that would make more sense together than Zelda Spellman and Lucius Malfoy. They’re both, tall, beautiful blondes with an icy demeanor that can only come from being the head of an ancient magical family.

However, Zelda can unequivocally do better than Lucius. Yes, she has her faults, but she is one of the toughest, smartest, and bravest witches in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. She would be to embarrassed to stand next to a man as weak and cowardly as Lucius.

Awesome: Prudence Blackwood & Draco Malfoy

Theoretically the same argument against Lucius and Zelda could be made against Prudence and Draco, because Prudence is one badass lady while Draco is… not so much. However, there is some hope left for Draco.

Both Prudence and Draco are awful queen bees of their school, but they do have flashes of goodness and strength within them. It’d certainly be a nightmare to be one of the schoolmates who are living under their thumb, but it’s hard to deny that Prudence and Draco could really make a lot happen as a duo.

Awful: Lilith & Lord Voldemort

We’re not the biggest fans of Lilith since being diabolical and using others to get what she wants is her standard modus operandi, however she could still aim a bit higher than Lucifer, or if she were in the Harry Potter universe, Lord Voldemort.

Lilith devoted her entire insanely long existence to someone who was essentially her thankless slave master, and if she ever joined up with Lord Voldemort’s team it seems like she’d really just be trading one abusive prison for another.

Awesome: Hilda Spellman & Sirius Black

Hilda Spellman may be one of the most powerful Satanic witches in the world, but she is sweeter than a peach pie too. That is a deadly combination in any scenario, but we can only imagine what it would be like if Hilda Spellman and Sirius Black got together.

Sirius was always a bit of a goofball, but years imprisoned in Azkaban completely changed him. It would have been nice to see him with someone who could bring out the real Sirius again, and it would be nice to see a more assertive person give Hilda some of the courage she needs.

Awful: Sabrina Spellman & Harry Potter

So, Sabrina Spellman and Harry Potter are kind of like peanut butter and pickles. They’re both fantastic on their own, but their two strong flavors don’t mesh well and really shouldn’t be combined.

They’re both the super special epicenter of their respective stories, and honestly even watching either one of them be the constant “chosen one” gets a bit tiresome. It would be exponentially more frustrating to watch the two of them together, constantly outshining everyone around them simply by virtue of who they are.

Awesome: Harvey Kinkle & Luna Lovegood

Harvey Kinkle doesn’t seem to be a huge fan of the magical world that he has been thrust into, but we think that he has mostly soured on it because his introduction into it was so unforgiving and brutal.

Harvey is at his heart a very kind and loving person, and the same could be said about Luna Lovegood. Harvey can accept Luna’s weirdness, and Luna can introduce Harvey into the wild world of magic in a way that will leave him feeling as fascinated and enchanted as Luna always seems to be with magic.

Awful: Lucifer & Lord Voldemort

This is a Harry Potter/Sabrina coupling crossover that would never work for many obvious reasons. First off, they both literally call themselves the Dark Lord. Secondly, while characters like Harry and Sabrina are the unwilling chosen ones, both Voldemort and Lucifer want to be the absolute rulers of their little kingdoms.

They both want the spotlight, and they’re clearly not keen on sharing, so if these two ever came face to face it seems safe to assume that they’d be facing off instead of developing any kind of relationship.

Awesome: Nick Scratch & Hermione Granger

Sometimes opposites attract. Or at least, they should attract. Clearly Nick and Hermione would both be attracted to each other because they’re both attractive people, but they both have a lot to offer one another too.

Hermione could teach Nick the value of actually going by the rules or at least learning, studying, and practicing magic as much as you can. And Nick could show Hermione how to cut loose a little, and demonstrate how following one’s instincts and chasing their desires can be the right choice, even if it doesn’t seem to be on paper.

Awful: Faustus Blackwood & Bellatrix Lestrange

It seems like Dark Lord I and Dark Lord II would be the most awful and miserable Sabrina/Harry coupling imaginable, but we honestly think that a combo of Faustus and Bellatrix would be even worse.

They would undoubtedly push the boundaries with all kinds of dark magics, and they would likely find a way to dominate the world of witchcraft, but everyone around them would be immeasurably miserable because of them. Even if these two worlds collided, it would be a nightmare if these two characters ever crossed paths.
