Yes, be it Samsung, Xiaomi or Huawei, all are set up to launch their 5G devices this year, well, almost. And, looks like LG is also ready to join the race.

Even with such tough competition in the mobile world, LG is putting its full efforts on making big profits by banking on their first 5G device. But, this is not all, as they are also planning on what’s next.

What you must be wondering, now if 5G is ready for release than obviously, 6G is next. Well, not full throttle, but from the announcement made by the dedicated research center that’s located in the South Korean Yuseong District of Daejeon. For now, LG is not working on a 6G enabled device but plans to lead global standardization and secure new business creation opportunities.

LG has partnered with the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology and have plans to get themselves ready for the future beforehand. The company also told they have an estimate that it will take at least 10 years to go from 5G to 6G.

Of course, for now, the issue on hand is the 5G speed issue for mobile devices and according to the industry experts, it will take some years for the speed to be stable. LG Electronics (LG U Plus included) along with the other three major wireless service providers have already begun to replace their ongoing 4G LTE as other stateside Carriers are still engaged in their ego battles.

But, LG is also no less to reckon with as they are not backing down and have claimed they are only improving the competition level of the Korean mobile communication technology. Now, will the US wireless industry be able to catch up before they launch their first 6G device, only time will tell.

And no doubt, LG Mobile is in dire needs to come up with a win-win plan if they want to stay in the league of mobiles and smartphones.
