The next chapter in the Angela Deem and Micheal Ilesanmi saga continued on Sunday night’s season 7 episode of 90 Day Fiancé. Angela is waiting patiently for African-born Micheal to get his visa to come and join her in America, but she thinks he’s not taking the visa interview seriously enough and has even threatened to leave him unless he realizes just how serious this step is for them.
54-year-old Angela and 30-year old Michael have shown their tumulous relationship to audiences on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days on season 2 and season 3. There have been plenty of breakups due to a mountain of trust issues between the two after Micheal admitted to cheating on Angela shortly after they first got together. Now they are trying to put their fights behind them in order to focus on the future. When fans last saw them in season 3 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, Micheal revealed that having a child to carry on his name is more important to him than moving to the US. Angela was trying to convince her daughter that she needs one of her eggs, saying that she can “tote” or carry the baby herself.
In the recent season of 90 Day Fiancé (via Cheatsheet), Angela is unwilling to pick up her life and move to Nigeria to be with Micheal as she has a household of people depending on her financially - including her 78-year-old mother, her daughter Skyla, and six of her grandchildren while her other daughter is currently behind bars for child molestation charges. It was the first time audiences caught up with Angela and Micheal this season. Angela video chatted with her fiancé while in a store to see what’s happening with his upcoming visa interview. She was worried about the interview but even after Micheal trying reassuring her, saying, “everything is ready,” and that “there will be no problem,” Angela continued to be a nerous wreck.
In reference to the interview, she asked her fiancé, “You’re not nervous about the questions?” Micheal responds with, “I am nervous, but I just have to be strong, you know?” Angela reminds him that they will catch him faking and that he needs to be prepared with the documents and proof of their relationship. She remains untrusting of Micheal and he finally exclaims, “You should be encouraging me!” That’s when she drops a bombshell, saying, “If you screw up, we’ll be done.” Micheal tried to reassure her again, saying, “This is our time.” However, Angela doesn’t seem convinced and tells the cameras, “If Michael fails this interview, I told him, we’re probably done. What else is there to do?… I don’t have the strength. I’m not getting younger. It’s either the K-1 or K-done.”
Fans will have to continue watching the remainder of the season to know exactly what will happen between Micheal and Angela. It seems that Angela is serious about her decision and after 3-years of traveling back and forth to Nigeria to be with Micheal, she’s too busy with too many people to take care of to continue to chase after him. There have been quite a few hints that Micheal does get approved and makes it to the US, such as Angela getting wedding ready by getting botox injections in her face and the fact that they are on this season of 90 Day Fiancé which unlike 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days actually is about the wedding and the adjusting to life in America part of the journey.
