After watching their tumultuous relationship play out onscreen, fans of 90 Day Fiancé will finally know if stars Chantel Everett and Pedro Jimeno will stay together or officially divorce. Viewers haven’t caught up with the couple since Season 4 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? - and things didn’t look good for their marriage then.
Fans first met Pedro and Chantel in Season 4 of 90 Day Fiancé, a reality show that follows couples during the K-1 visa process, in which they have 90 days to get married to their partner, a U.S. citizen, or be forced to move back to their home country. Pedro, who was originally from the Dominican Republic, has had relationship problems with wife Chantel from the beginning. The families have been very vocal, stating their disapproval of the relationship since day one, and viewers continued to watch tensions boil over on Seasons 2, 3, and 4 of the 90 Day Fiancé spinoff. In the infamous chicken feet scene, Chantel’s family walked out on dinner as they thought they were putting some sort of “voodoo” on the food. Chantel also resented Pedro for sending money back to his family in Santo Domingo every month, while she felt they weren’t living as well as they could in the U.S. In the most recent drama, Pedro went back home to the Dominican Republic without Chantel and was caught dirty dancing another woman. Now, fans will get to see if they’re actually going to make it or if they’ll call it quits.
Despite Chantel saying that their marriage was “over” at the end of Season 4 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, it looks as though the couple is still together, according to RealityTVWorld. The pair is already signed on for another 90 Day Fiancé spinoff, which shows that their relationship won’t be ending any time soon. In April this year, TLC announced Everett and Jimeno will star in The Family Chantel, premiering July 2019. The series will follow Everett and Jimeno, in addition to their in-laws, including Chantel’s parents, Karen and Thomas, Pedro’s mother, Lidia, and the couple’s siblings.
TLC said of the spinoff in a press release: “Viewers will follow this unique modern family as they try to move past their differences and come together as an extended family.” It doesn’t seem like this is going to be an easy transition, however. TLC continued, “As Chantel’s parents Karen and Thomas try to protect their brood, will they push their children too far?” Judging by what fans have seen so far of the protective parents, there are going to be plenty more obstacles for Pedro and Chantel to overcome. Aside from a few cryptic Instagram posts, Chantel recently shared the quote, “When the storm has passed, put your energy into rebuilding your life, don’t waste time looking back.”
Although there have been many scandals and intense arguments between the couple and their families on Season 4 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, there are no other indicators these two have split. Fans are certain that due to the fact that they have signed up for their own spinoff, revolving around their lives as a couple, it wouldn’t make sense if they were no longer together. In the meantime, Pedro and Chantel continue to lay low, with Chantel recently posting only photos of herself traveling alone on Instagram. Soon, fans will get to see everything they missed between the couple when their new show premieres, if the families are still feuding, and if Chantel and Pedro are still happily ever after or not.
