90 Day Fiancé’s Nicole Nafziger and Azan Tefou are together, but not getting married - yet. The couple took to social media to defend their choice, saying they would say their vows when the time was right for both of them.
The 90 Day Fiancé well-meaning couple recently announced that they made the surprising decision to not take part in the hit TLC show for its next season. Nicole opened up on her Instagram to update their fans on her future with fiancé, Azan, and the franchise, saying she could confirm that the young couple had decided as a pair not to return to filming for the next season, but did not elaborate on her reasoning why. The couple has called off their engagements twice before because, as Nicole stated, they “weren’t in a rush.” The couple originally met on an international dating website and have stayed connected via video chat.
In a statement to In Touch Weekly, Nicole said that she and Azan, who have been in a long-distance relationship, are absolutely still an item but have no plans on marrying each other at any time soon. The announcement came as a surprise to fans because Nicole has always been so adamant about setting a wedding date, even flying to Morocco to try and make it happen.
Fans are upset because they feel the couple has not been honest about their relationship since day one. A follower on Nicole’s Instagram has called her out, telling the reality star that it was time to be truthful and stop wearing a ring. Nicole tried to set the record straight, retaliating at her haters and telling them that they do not know anything about her life at the moment. She did explain that her family knew all the details prior to filming, but the producers of the show did not. According to Nicole, the producers did not need to know every aspect of her life, which annoyed fans more as she chose to be on a reality show for that very purpose.
It worries viewers that Nicole’s statement ended with her saying that she has chosen to stay and live her life in Florida with her daughter May, while Azan will stay in Morocco and live his life there. The Instagram rant left viewers confused and wondering if their love saga was all just a rouse to get them on TV. Most do not believe that the two will ever tie the knot, but only time will tell.
