Star of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Avery Mills went to Twitter to rant about how she felt targeted by hateful comments while shopping at a Walmart. She alleged that two Walmart employees were making racist remarks just because she is Muslim.
19-year-old Avery from Columbus, Ohio and 24-year-old Omar who is from Syria met after Avery decided when she was 18-years-old to leave her Christian faith and convert to Islam. After she joined a Muslim dating site, she met Omar. The two fell in love online, Omar sent her the engagement ring in the mail, and just weeks before their wedding day they finally met face to face. Despite Avery’s mother’s concerns about the legitimacy of the marriage as well as Avery’s safety, they went through with the marriage. Avery and Omar plan to move to America, but since it could be difficult for Syrian-born Omar to obtain a visa, Avery told her mother she will be moving to Syria if Omar doesn’t get a US visa.
It seems based on Avery’s latest tweets that she’s currently in America. Avery went to Twitter, claiming that two Walmart employees were making hateful remarks towards her, she wrote, “I went to Walmart today and two workers were right beside me, they began talking about how America isn’t how it used to be and how Trump needs to take out the trash.” The 90 Day Fiancé star alleged they were referring the comment to her, as they looked at her. She revealed that while at first, she tried to stay out of the conflict, they assumed she didn’t speak English based on her traditional Muslim covering. She continued, “So they pointed at me and say do you think she can even afford any of that?” She then revealed that the other employee said, “Maybe with her welfare check from out taxes.” Avery revealed after the two comments, she “called them out for it,” she said that’s when they tried to apologize. Evidently, Avery reported the hateful behavior to management because she revealed that the two workers “no longer have jobs.” She concluded the original tweet with, “Trump didn’t need to take out the trash [because] I did.” Check out Avery’s full tweet below"
Avery then added to the original post, writing that she’s content knowing that the two Walmart workers had consequences for their action. She wrote, “Thankfully those 2 people can’t do it to other people there.” She continued to write, “They are right America isn’t what it used to be you can’t blatantly be prejudice at work anymore.” Avery concluded the tweet, rightfully basking in the righteous glow of justice, writing, “It’s funny now [because] they will be living off of welfare with MY tax dollars.”
Though Avery is only 19-years-old, fans all over are applauding her strength and the way she handled the prejudice. It seems that these two employees have learned a lesson about making hateful and racist remarks about people.
