On the newest season of 90 Day Fiancé, only a few episodes into the season and there’s already plenty of drama. This week, Michael Jessen revealed that his fiancée Juliana Custodio has misused his credit card by buying a car behind his back.

41-year-old Michael met 23-year-old Juliana at a yacht party in Croatia when she was only 20-years-old. They say there was an instant attraction and fell in love. When Juliana’s tourist visa was denied, they decided to turn to the K-1 visa process to continue living together. As Juliana prepares for her visa interview and waits for the results, Michael is preparing his two young children for the arrival of their new step-mom. Juliana, however, has never met Michael’s kids, his skeptical ex-wife, and has never even been to America.

This week on 90 Day Fiance, Micheal is creating a $4,000 custom necklace for his bride-to-be, when he’s interrupted with a phone call from Juliana, she’s on the other end wondering why his credit and debit cards aren’t working. Michael spoke to the camera revealing that Juliana relies on him financially for everything, saying, “I have let her use my credit cards, especially when she’s in Brazil. I want to make sure she’s safe. She can feed herself, get groceries.” However, Michael revealed that sometimes Juliana “does sometimes use questionable judgment in some of the spending.” He revealed to the cameras that his fiancée “recently bought a car on my credit card.” Michael revealed that the lavish purchase “was very unusual and not expected.”

When asked why Juliana bought a car, Michael said, “I’m not exactly sure why Juliana bought a car, she should be moving to America within a few weeks.” He defended his bride-to-be, saying, “I think it was a bit of a impulse - quite a big expense for an impulse.” Michael explained that he does want her to be more mindful of spending his money, saying that he does “want her to respect the value of things and the value of working hard.” He said that he’s hoping that her moving to America will make that switch for her and that the spending “won’t become a problem.” When pressed by the producers of an estimate of how much he’s spent on Juliana in the three years they’ve known each other, Michael had a hard time answering. The producers asked if it was more than $100,000, or more than $150,000, and Michael replied with a chuckle, “I don’t want to comment.” Both of Juliana’s tourist visas were denied, Michael thinks was it was due to too many stamps on her passport.

Now Michael is headed back to Brazil to work toward getting Juliana’s K-1 visa application. It seems that it’s going to be a difficult process getting the Brazilian born model to the US, but it seems that until then Michael will continue to provide for Juliana financially. With Juliana’s visa process taking longer than usual, at least she will be able to get some use out of her new car. Fans will have to continue watching the rest of the season to see if Juliana is just in it for the money and the green card like some of Micheal’s family have worried about, or if she’s truely in love with him and they will have a happily ever after ending.
