After rumors have been circulating for the past months, 90 Day Fiancé’s Karine Martins has confirmed that she’s officially leaving Paul Staehle. The on-again-off-again couple has finally called it quits.

Paul and Karine first appeared on Seasons 1 and 2 of TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, where viewers met them for the first time on camera in Brazil and watched them marry in November 2017. The couple had struggled a lot, but one particularly heartbreaking low was when Karine suffered a miscarriage on the show. When Karine found out she was pregnant again and was unable to come to the US because Paul couldn’t afford the K-1 visa process, in which his mom refused to sponsor him, Paul decided to move to Brazil instead. On 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, the show highlighted the moments before the birth of their baby boy, Pierre, and all of the fights they had about Karine texting other American men. Despite the drama, it was reported that Paul and Karine were finally living together in the US after they were spotted near Paul’s hometown of Louisville, Kentucky.

According to Us Weekly, Karine confirmed the rumors circulating about splitting with the father of her child. The 23-year-old Brazil native confirmed the status of her divorce this past Tuesday, saying, “Yes, I am looking for a lawyer now.” Paul took posted to his Instagram story to update fans on his current situation. Paul went to Instagram Story to post a cryptic post written in Portuguese - Karine’s native language - which when translated in English reveals that Karine has “started divorce proceedings” in Manaus, Brazil against him.
