Former 90 Day Fiancé star, Larissa Dos Santos Lima went to Instagram to post a picture of her former mother-in-law to apologize. She encouraged her fans to do the same. The former 90 Day Fiancé star then encouraged her fans to do the same in their lives for the new year.
Brazillian-born Larissa came to America with the K-1 or fiancé visa and she moved in with her fiancé Colt Johnson and his mother Debbie in their Las Vegas home. Audiences watched the couple argue both before and after the wedding. The volatile couple was no stranger to the law (or Colt’s mother, Debbie) being involved with their relationship. On season 4 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, Larissa got into legal trouble from Colt and Debbie repeatedly called the cops on her and Larissa was arrested three times for domestic battery charges. Now that Larissa is both free of Colt and her legal issues officially, everyone is trying their best to move on. Larissa and Debbie were some of the most interesting dueling duos in the history of 90 Day Fiancé, the two argued over Colt and the infamous argument where Larissa insisted on moving Debbie’s prized slot machine from the dining room to the garage. The two collided so often, it was almost like they were the married couple. With Larissa’s hot temper and Debbie’s unwillingness to back down, fans never thought there would be a day where the two would be able to peacefully meet.
On the heels of 2020, Larissa went to Instagram to send a message to her former mom-in-law and as an encouragement to all of her fans who are dealing with unforgiveness. She posted a picture of her with her arm around Debbie, writing a lengthy caption. She began the post by writing about how this new year is for cleansing and new beginnings, writing, “I want 2020 to be the year or renewal and to cleanse all the bad energy from the past.” She continued, by saying that while she’s been bettering herself after her divorce from Colt, she also recognized that she had to start working on how she’s been treating people in her life. She wrote, “There has been some very negative back and forth between myself and a former family member.” Larissa revealed that she doesn’t want to be doing it anymore, saying that the fighting with Debbie is a thing of the past and will be left in 2019. Larissa then penned an apology to Debbie, something fans thought would never live to see the day, she wrote “My time with the family was a bad phase of my life, and for the three of us it could never work out. Big mistakes were made, and for my part, I’m sorry. I have paid for my mistakes by the law with compliance of the court, but I am sorry with my soul for my part in the break up of the family.” Then Larissa continued on, reflecting on the fond memories she’s had with Debbie. She said, “I have such fond memories of her, and when I think of them, I smile. The way we both loved and cared for the cats, we had something in common. I love steak, and she never failed to make me the BEST steak. We had a lot of laughter.” She then wrote that Debbie is “a lovely woman” that will always have a “place in my heart for her.” She then asked her followers to not insult her former mother-in-law and that all of the bitterness between the two are gone. She then encouraged her followers to “tag someone you would like to make peace with.”
Though it seems really out of character for Larissa to actually make peace with Debbie, it’s a side of her that fans are applauding her for. Larissa seems to be taking 2020 seriously and is encouraging everyone to become the best version of themselves that they can be.
