Mike, of 90 Day Fiancé, told Natalie’s friends that he believes in aliens, not God. While Natalie sat wide-eyed and embarrassed, Mike freely spoke about how he does not think God is real.
Mike and Natalie are one of the newer couples to the 90 Day Fiancé franchise and have already given viewers some uncomfortable moments. The two originally met through Mike’s friend, Matt. Mike’s close friend is married to a Ukrainian woman and asked Mike to be the godfather to their newborn. The Washington state native then met the godmother, who turned out to be Natalie and was influenced - thanks to his friend for showing him pictures of the Kiev native - to ask her out on a date.
In the latest episode of the hit TLC show, Mike had finally arrived in Ukraine to spend time with his fiancée after having spent six months apart from each other. After awkwardly telling the cameras that their sex was incredible, Natalie wasted no time bringing up talk about their future as husband and wife. In front of her friends, she grilled her future husband about the prospect of having children. Understandably, Mike was a bit shell-shocked and told her that he would like to get back the United States and establish a permanent life together before starting a family. The reality star also privately told cameras that he was hesitant to start a family due to his outstanding debt.
During the conversation, Mike also admitted that he does not believe in a particular religion or God, but rather a superior civilization. Mike went on to say that he believes that extraterrestrial aliens are like gods, and previous societies saw aliens, but misinterpreted them as gods. This came as a surprise to the devout Ukrainian who said faith was everything to her. The farm owner went on to tell his future wife and her friends that he does indeed believe in aliens and that they were involved in the creation of life, conflicting with Natalie’s beliefs. The saving grace of the conversation was that Mike did tell Natalie that he supports whatever she chooses to believe in and would never speak disparagingly about her religion.
While his personal opinions are a literally out of this world, fans still believe that this particular couple has a high chance of success thanks to meeting through close friends and not online. Most of the other couples that have appeared on the show have met via Facebook or a dating service. Whether Mike ends up making contact with any off-planet dwellers remains to be seen.
