The saga between 90 Day Fiancé’s Paul Staehle and his wife Karine Martins continues. Paul, who announced last month that Karine would like a divorce, just claimed that his wife has run off with the baby to live with new man, Blake Sakal.
Paul and Karine first appeared on Seasons 1 and 2 of TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, where viewers met them for the first time on camera in Brazil and watched them marry in November 2017. The couple had struggled a lot, but one particularly heartbreaking low was when Karine suffered a miscarriage on the show. When Karine found out she was pregnant again, she was unable to come to the US because Paul couldn’t afford the K-1 visa process and his mom refused to sponsor her, leaving Paul with no other choice than to move to Brazil. On 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, the show highlighted the moments before the birth of their baby boy, Pierre, and all of the fights they had about Karine texting other American men. Despite the drama, it was reported that Paul and Karine were finally living together in the US after they were spotted near Paul’s hometown of Louisville, Kentucky.
Paul coming forward to say that Karine wants to divorce him has been happening so often that fans can’t keep track anymore. The most recent was back in November when Paul went to social media to tell inform his followers that Karine would like a divorce from him. It seems like the controversy doesn’t end there. Paul went on Instagram live to speak about his recent relationship woes. He claimed that Karine has been talking to this musician who’s also based out of in Louisville, Kentucky where the family had also been staying. Paul claimed in his live video that Karine had spent multiple occasions alone at Blake’s house for drinks. John Yates, the self procalimed 90 Day Fiancé gossip guru, sat down with Paul to talk about what’s going on after he posted this video (via Hollywood Gossip). Yates tweeted, “I kind of believe him. Supposedly this guy Blake wants to have babies with Karine and has been hanging out with her alone without Paul at his place having nightcaps with her.” Blake had a posted a picture of him and Karine back in July when he was “fitness coaching” her, check out the post below:
Paul revealed in the interview that Karine has been talking to Blake for a while, he said, “I caught him back before we got married.” He said they’ve remained “friends” the whole time, and evidence seems to support that as Karine had liked Blake’s old posts, as far back as 2012. However, things got weird, Paul claimed, “She told me she was feeling a little uncomfortable because he was talking about wanting to have a kid with her.” He said that really bothered him. He revealed that Karine took their son, Pierre, and left to live with Blake, just a few days before Christmas. Paul then posted on his social media, “To Pierre soon to be step dad. Merry Christmas.” Then tagged his estranged wife, his son Pierre, and Blake’s account.
Even if Paul isn’t the most liked person in the 90 Day Fiancé universe, it seems that if the claims are true, Paul’s anger is justified. If the situation is as Paul explained it and Karine really did run off with another man just days before Christmas, that seems pretty harsh.
