If you find it confusing keeping up with which 90 Day Fiancé show has your favorite couple in it, you’re not alone. Currently, there are six spin-offs. Each one with its own set of couples who have made the plunge for love in leaving their native homeland in the hope of finding their happily ever after. What makes 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way so fascinating, is that Americans have to integrate into cultures far different from their own.
Making some of the content and culture shock in each episode priceless. If you are a Harry Potter fan you might be wondering where your favorite 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way character would be sorted if he or she lived in the Harry Potter Universe. Well, luckily for all the 90 Day Fiance and Harry Potter fans we have that covered.
Paul: Hufflepuff
When Paul was first introduced on the show, he appeared to be this innocent but naive guy, who was desperate to find his one and only. However, over the years, fans have been shown his more sinister side, which would seem to fit with Slytherin House.
While Paul might show his dark side quite often these days, it is just hard to take him seriously. Plus, it is obvious that he is loyal to Carine and has shown patience with his relationship with her. Traits that fall under Hufflepuff House.
Samit: Slytherin
Like Paul, Sumit seemed innocent enough when fans first met him. However, after Jenny moved overseas to be with him, it is revealed that he has been playing her the entire time. While promising Jenny forever, he had also, promised the same to his wife.
By the time Jenny realizes the situation he has placed her in, she is already halfway across the world. Sumit is intelligent but sneaky. Honesty is a formality that he chooses to avoid, unless it suits his own goals, making him a Slytherin at heart.
Jihoon: Ravenclaw
Jihoon is a Ravenclaw for no other reason than this guy has to be pretending to be incompetent. Somehow, he managed to convince a former model, Deavan, to leave her life in the United States for South Korea.
Upon arriving, Jihoon quit his job because it didn’t make enough money, causing him to have no job and no money to support her. He then explains that he has a criminal past and is in debt with credit card companies. Yet, somehow, he convinced her to stay with him, making her either incredibly gullible or him a hidden Ravenclaw.
Aladin: Slytherin
Okay this guy just seemed shady from the beginning. There is no denying Laura catfished him by editing her photos and telling him she was 40, but, once married, Aladin joked about his wife’s pregnancy, which later resulted in a miscarriage.
Then when he realized she was out of money and could no longer support him nor was she capable of bringing him over to Canada on a visa, he found her to be expendable. A liar, who is sly to the bone, Aladin would make a perfect addition to Slytherin House.
Laura: Hufflepuff
It is hard to gauge Laura, as she portrays herself as a fun-loving, gentle but naive woman. Yet, she has been shown to be rather cruel, especially when it comes to airing out her sexual discontent with Aladin.
That said, she was patient when the relationship began to sour, as she tried to hold on to her dream husband. She showed loyalty towards Aladin when she was willing to give up her life in the United States to live in a foreign land. Loyalty and patience are two characteristics Hufflepuff House admires.
Corey: Gryffindor
Corey fell in love with Evelin while backpacking through Ecuador. Though the couple has little in common, Corey seems content with his life with Evelin, even after she admitted she didn’t want children, which was a must-have for Corey.
It takes a bit of courage to move to a country you know little about but that is just what Corey did. Corey’s values mean something to him and is accepting of Evelin’s even if they are different from his own. He would make a fine addition to Gryffindor, as he exemplifies a selfless nature.
Jenny: Slytherin
At first, Jenny appeared to be a sympathetic character, one who was so blinded by her love for Sumit that she was willing to ignore all the warning signs. Yet, as time goes on, Jenny’s story of not knowing Sumit was married seems suspect.
Even if it was a surprise to her, she appears a little too content with keeping the status quo. The whole sneakiness of the situation seems like something a Slytherin would do. She wants Sumit and doesn’t care if she has to break up a marriage to get him.
Karine: Ravenclaw
Karine might not be a fan-favorite on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way because of her erratic, sometimes childish behavior but, she always seems to have a backup plan in case her original goes awry. Case and point, her relationship with Paul has been on the rocks from the beginning.
Part of that is Paul’s fault but Karine has never stopped talking to American men, even after she became pregnant and married Paul. She has used her intellect and quick wit, along with her beauty to attract foreign men. Such traits are recognizable and respected in Ravenclaw House
Tiffany: Gryffindor
Tiffany is the very definition of a strong, independent woman. She might have found love overseas but does so on her terms, not Ronald’s. When her South African love interest Ronald, relapsed with his gambling addiction, Tiffany became concerned about the stability of their relationship.
When Ronald’s bad financial decisions along with his relapse bubbled to the surface, Tiffany dumped him. She would be great in Gryffindor because she was willing to give Ronald a second chance but showed the courage to leave him when it appeared, he was no longer trying to better himself.
Evelin: Slytherin
Evelin just feels like she is leading Corey on. The things she knows are important in his life she completely disregards. Yet, instead of dumping him, she gives him just enough hope that she might change her mind, that he leaves the United States for Ecuador.
She, also, kind of set him up for failure in front of her family when she knew he was going to do a magic trick, knowing full well her family would not approve. Most people would call her deceitful but Slytherin would call her crafty.
