90 Day Fiance’s Ashley Martson reveals that Jay Smith showed up at the same party as her. The post on instagram has since sparked rumors with fans, who are now wondering if the two are back together.
Ashley and Jay’s relationship was well documented as part of season 6 of 90 Day Fiancé. Ashley, from Mechanicsville, Pennsylvania, met Jay in Jamaica and married in May 2018. After only a few days into the marriage, Ashley caught Jay texting women on a dating app, but they continued to work on their marriage. In season 4 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, Ashley found out that Jay had had sex with a woman in the bathroom of the barbershop that he did his tattoo apprenticeship out of. She then immediately kicked him out and filed for divorce. After the stress caused Ashley another onset of lupus, Jay came back to take care of her while she got out of the hospital. Due to this, Ashley withdrew the papers nine days after initially filing for divorce to try to work on their relationship. However, after catching Jay cheating again, she filed for divorce for the second time in April. In July, Smith was arrested and handed over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody where he sat behind bars for almost a month. His then-girlfriend - Kayla O’Brien - created a Go Fund Me to help pay for legal fees, and shortly after being released, he made the relationship with Kayla Instagram official.
Since then, Jay and Kayla have since parted ways and now rumors are swirling because Ashley revealed on her Instagram, in a now-deleted post, that Jay and her wound up at the same party this past weekend in Pennslyvania. Ashley is reportedly dating Bachelor in Paradise alum, Christian Estrada, as Ashley teased last month that they went on a Disney World date together. Despite that, 90 Day Fiancé fans have been worried that Ashley is back with Jay - or is at least hooking up with him again. Ashley went to Instagram (via Pop Culture) to answer fans’ questions and put a rest to the rumors. One fan asked her, “Was it weird being at the same event as Jay?” The 90 Day Fiancé star explained that it was no big deal, saying, “It’s expected we both filmed the same show. I just do my thing and handle my business.”
However, not all of her fans were believing the story, as one fan commented, “Why are you and Jay acting like you didn’t hang out last night?” Ashley replied, “Where did you see me to know how I’m ‘acting’ about last nights appearance. I have no responded about what I did or didn’t do at the event. Please don’t state I’m acting some type of way…stop creating stories in your head.” Even though Ashley has responded to her fans’ concerns about her getting back together with her ex-husband, it seems she’s not as worried about it as they are.
It’s unclear if Ashley is trying again with Jay or if it was just a coincidence they ended up at the same party. It seems like after all of the endless drama these two have brought to the TLC show, that they would learn their lesson that they are not a good match and move on. However, living in the same state and running in the same social circles, it’s bound that the two would run into each other eventually. Fans will have to wait and see if Ashley would ever get back with Jay, as 90 Day Fiancé fans know - it wouldn’t be the first time she’s let him back.
