90 Day Fiancé’s Avery and Omar marry after Avery’s mom says Omar is using her for a green card. A mother’s work is never done when it comes to protecting her child as viewers saw on the most recent episode of the hit TLC show.
In the most recent episode of 90 Day Fiancé, Avery finally spilled the beans to her mother that she would be moving to Syria. It was a cringe-worthy moment at best as most fans believe this is a really uneducated move since the country has been torn apart by civil war. Once she met Omar on an online site for Muslim couples, Avery decided to convert to Islam and start wearing the appropriate attire. The couple was engaged before ever meeting as Omar sent a ring to the United States.
Avery’s mother, Terri Mills, had always been open about her feelings regarding her daughter marrying Omar, and it all came to a head on the night before Avery and Omar’s wedding. As Omar was trying to teach Avery to write her name in Arabic, Terri waited in the bed, still remaining skeptical about her daughter’s future husband. After Omar left for the night, Terri tried to explain the risks that Avery may face after she is married one last time. Terri told her daughter that she thinks she may have been manipulated into a wedding.
Terri continued to tell her daughter that she found it odd that Omar found Avery on a Muslim dating site, which, to her, sent up red flags. Omar, who is training to be a dentist, is none the wiser as he went back to his own room before the argument ensued. Terri believed that he was just going to use her daughter to gain access to the United States. As expected, Avery does not entertain her mother’s disbelief in their love story, saying he could have picked anyone if he just wanted “someone for a visa,” to which Terri responded, “Omar did get somebody, Avery.”
As any teenager does, Avery is wholeheartedly defending her true love, telling her mother she will not live in America if no one supports their marriage. While it seemed Omar dropped the ball the morning of the wedding, not realizing he needed to get permission to be married from the courts, Terri sorted it out and, in the end, the two finally ended up married. Viewers are anxious to see if Avery sticks to her word and moves to Syria, but hoping for Terri’s sake that she rethinks her decision.
